A Life Well Lived

Obituary for Stephanie Marie Weymouth
Picture
April 6th, 1992 was a beautiful day for the Weymouth family. It was the day Nancy and Glenn welcomed another baby girl and the day Amanda became a big sister. Stephanie Marie Weymouth was here, and life was joyous and sweet.

As a youngster, Stephanie showed signs of individualism, sass, defiance, and creativity. She stood up for her friends, learned to voice her opinions, and let her "dare devil" attitude guide her in most things. Steph was just seven years old when she showed an interest in music, teaching herself the song "happy birthday" on the piano so she could surprise Amanda on her birthday by playing the tune and belting out the words. This selfless act and passion for music prompted five years of piano lessons until, according to the professionals, Steph "couldn't be taught anymore" due to her talent.

In high school, Stephanie really came into her own. She stepped out in faith and participated in her church youth group, she continued to maintain meaningful and loyal friendships, and her passion for the arts flourished. She thrived on stage and in the classroom. Steph truly came into her own, and she knew she wanted to use her God given gifts for good, not for her own praise.

Stephanie graduated from Drew University in Madison, NJ in 2014 with a degree in Theatre Arts. In four years, she was able to dive into all things creative, especially acapella, playwriting, acting. She continued her education and received her Master's degree in Education the following year. Her resume lists titles such as "professional singer, teaching artist, actress, company manager, program director, and theatre arts teacher", but really it could have just said, "Stephanie M. Weymouth;  a human using her gifts and talents for the betterment of others and to pour goodness back into the world".

At the time of her passing in February of 2024, Stephanie was gearing up for a new chapter; the next chapter. She was ready to move and change and she had her eyes open to where she was being called. She was doing the work each day to discover a new spot on the map to her higher purpose. And for Stephanie, it was never about where she was or how much money she would be making. It was always about the why. Her purpose. God's calling. She was a vessel of love and light and wherever she ended up in life, she wanted to make sure she was helping to make a difference. Stephanie always wanted to leave people and places better than when she found them, in hopes that the light and love will carry on even when she wasn't there.

Stephanie Marie Weymouth. A life well lived, indeed.
