Most people are aware that Stephanie was a talented actress, singer and artist, but what they don't know...is that Stephanie was a playwright. Steph wrote two plays in her lifetime, and we are blessed to have both of these plays in our possession as her family. In her last journal entry, Stephanie wrote that her ultimate dream in life was to be on Broadway. She wrote about how so much of her life was spent doing things for other people, and not that she regretted that, but that she was finally ready to pursue the things that she really wanted to do. Last year after she passed, we made a promise to one another to do everything in our power to make this dream come true; we were going to get our girl to Broadway.
LINKED was written in 2014 and performed at Drew University during Stephanie's senior year. It is a story about relationships in the face of the 9/11 tragedy. September 11, 2026 will mark the 25th anniversary of this monumental day in our nation's history, and we want to take steps toward Stephanie's Broadway dream by bringing LINKED to life once again as a main stage production.
We are currently in the early stages of working with Yendor Productions to develop this project, discussing all things related to a full main stage production (hiring a cast and crew, renting a theater, production and marketing costs, props, set and lighting design etc.) Yendor Productions is an organization very close to Stephanie's heart, as this company was founded by her late mentor, Rodney Gilbert, and Stephanie was actually a founding member. We truly believe in this play, and in Stephanie's dream, and we are going to do whatever it takes to make this happen Fall of 2026.
